Central Park looks surprisingly peaceful even in the middle of everything. The lake reflects the tall skyscrapers behind it while people row small boats and others jog or just sit on the grass. Its like the city gave itself a big green breathing space right in the heart of the concrete jungle. Early morning or late afternoon works best the light is softer and you avoid the biggest crowds. Bring a coffee and find a bench the view of the buildings rising above the trees never gets old.
